Assembly Build Validation

This is a process where we use a set of cameras to validate that an assembly has been built correctly. The cameras look at various features on a part assembly and determine if it is built according to a specified part number and/or barcode read. In the following example, the vision system reads the barcode before the operator loads the panel for inspection. The vision system captures a pair of color images and checks that the panel is built according to the barcode specifications: color, style, cutouts and along with other generic features based on the actual part number.
